Classical Massage

 

Classical Massage is the most traditional and widespread form of massage, it is based on Swedish massage.

The purpose of the massage to improve the flow of blood and lymph to reduce muscular tension or flaccidity, to affect the nervous system through stimulation or sedation, and to enhance tissue healing.

The techniques of the classical massage consist in the sequential techniques of stroking , rubbing, pressing, tapping, vibration, rolling, shaking and other, as the body area indicates. 

Indications:

 

  • muscle tension

  • reduced mobility

  • headache

  • slow blood and lymph circulation

  • blood supply problems

  • slowed intestinal peristalsis

  • weakness of the immune system

  • sleep disorders

  • nervousness, mild stress

  • feeling unwell, depression

  • fatigue

  • reduced attention

How the massage is carried out:

 

​The massage is done on a table, using a small amount of massage creme or massage oil, for a firmer grasp.

Effect:

  • relaxes painful and tense muscles

  • activates the lymphatic circulation 

  • cleans the organism of waste substances 

  • improves blood circulation 

  • has a relaxing effect against mental and physical stress 

  • course of massage treatment will increase organism’s ability to resist diseases

Contraindications:

 

  • varicose veins

  • sunburn

  • cardio-vascular conditions (thrombosis, phlebitis, hypertension, heart conditions)

  • high blood pressure

  • cancer

  • nervous or psychotic conditions

  • heart problems, angina, people with pacemakers

  • fever

  • contagious diseases, including any cold or flu, no matter how mild it may seem

  • under the influence of drugs or alcohol-including prescription pain medication

  • recent operations or acute injuries

  • skin diseases
